During this live and interactive online cooking class, you will learn everything you need to know to make simple sticky rice, pork miso soup and miso dip at home. Cooking class is fully interactive. Chef accompanies you throughout the entire process. Ask as many questions as you want! Menu 1. Simple Sticky Rice: Transform ordinary grains into perfect sticky rice, even without a rice cooker. This simple tip will elevate your cooking and make you a true master of Japanese flavours. 2. Pork (or chicken) Miso Soup: Uncover the secret to Japanese well-being with a nourishing bowl of Miso Soup featuring pork (or succulent chicken for those who prefer). This iconic meat soup provides a complete and delicious meal, effortlessly prepared without the need for a complex broth. It's a simple yet satisfying way to nourish your body and soul. 3. Izakaya Bites: Fresh Veggie Sticks with Miso Dip: Discover the Versatility of Miso Paste by Creating a Flavourful and Healthy Dip for Fresh Veggie Sticks. This class will guide you through the simple yet rewarding process of transforming traditional miso into a creamy and delectable dip, perfect for snacking or sharing with friends. Recipes Recipe links are sent 2 days before the session. Technology Connect with the chef using Zoom on your computer, tablet or mobile device. Class Participation Chime in with questions through audio or chat. Class Size Public class sizes are between 2 to 15 connections to provide an opportunity for all guests to participate and ask questions. Ingredients Rice Carrot Daikon radish Shiitake Mushroom Onion Snap beans (or green beans or leak) Pork belly or Chicken thigh Cucumber Peppers (any colours) Any vegetables for veggie strips you like Garlic (*optional) Walnuts, sesame (*optional) Miso paste Salt Olive oil or sesame oil Water Kitchen Equipment 2 pots Strainer Lids Sharp knives Cutting boards Heat resistant containers Measuring spoons Heat resistant mugs or cups Aluminium foil Paper Towel Plates Bowls Wooden(*ideal) spatula Prep Work Details Cut daikon, carrot, and shiitake mushrooms; cook in the microwave at 600W for 1 minute each. If you have a leak, cook the same way. Cook the cut beans in the microwave at 600W for 40 seconds.
